What Is a DAMA?
A DAMA is a place-based migration agreement tailored to the workforce needs of a specific regional area. It provides concessions to standard visa criteria in exchange for long-term regional workforce commitment.
DAMA may offer flexibility in:
- Occupation lists
- Age limits
- English language requirements
- Skill and experience thresholds
- Salary arrangements (within approved limits)
Important: DAMA does not override migration law. Every concession must be explicitly approved.
